Post: Deputy Principal: Combined School (Grade R to 12)
Star of Hope Independent School is a combined School in Moloto and is seeking to appoint a dynamic, outstanding, visionary and experienced Deputy Principal.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree preferably in Education
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a School environment
- Should currently be serving as a Deputy Principal, Department Head or Senior Teacher
- Should preferably have Mathematics as a teaching subject in the FET
- Should be SACE registered
- Strong track record in discipline, management and learner support
- Experience within the Independent School sector (advantageous), otherwise should be in a well established School.
- Familiarity with the CAPS curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement the School’s discipline and pastoral care policies
- Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to staff and learners
- Ensure a supportive, values-driven and structured learning environment
- Collaborate closely with the Principal and SMT to maintain high standards of discipline and learner well being
- This post involves teaching Mathematics and Management.
- A sound knowledge of current educational trends in South Africa and globally.
- Assume responsibility for the Management of the School in the absence of the Principal.
